Approaching TX-4 by adamkuczek Approaching TX-4 by adamkuczek
TX-4 mini-series: Approaching TX-4

First of the concepts depicting galactic discovery and its exploration. A planet has been found literally pierced with a crystal-like construct of an alien origins. For the last few years expeditions were sent to TX-4 in order to establish a research facility and uncover its secrets. The base is still under construction. Once a year, a new transport of technical gear, vehicles and provisions arrives.

Concept prepared for a new e-zine about sci-fi art. When the first issue is out (next month), I'll provide the link.

At first, upon seeing the thumb of this, my imagination spoke thusly:
":iconbitchpleaseplz: You want to declare war? My planet has a gun."

Very well done.  I really like this.  I like the 'alien society has advanced enough to alter the planet' kind of stuff.  Nice sunrise, extra planet, space stuff.  Unique shape of the object. Overall very good.

Now, if I could just get a copy in 3200x1200 for a high-res dual display background!  That would be sweet.

Hey man I feel it would be more appealing if there was a stronger perspective on that construction. To me, it kinda looks like it is floating in the air if it wasn't for those red cracks. Something like this: [link] (It is a crappy paint over but I hope you get what I mean.) Awesome piece!

Thanks for the comment, I adjusted the structure a bit and I think it feels better. Cheers.
